My name is Kim, and I have been grooming professionally for 21 years! I graduated from the grooming school Ecole Professionnelle de Tonte de Montreal in April of 1999, after which I was lucky enough to work with a couple of experienced groomers who have remained lifelong friends. I have taken continuing education in the science of skin & coat, as well as proper sanitation and disinfection methods.
To better care for your pet, I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. I continue my grooming education by attending conferences and seminars, and brushing up on new techniques and products. I am insured and bonded.
I have over a decade of experience grooming in veterinary hospitals (for my vet in St-Lambert when I lived in Quebec, and over 9 years inside Blair Animal Hospital here in Ottawa), and utilize safe grooming practices to maximize the comfort level of your dog (due to age, arthritis, injury, etc).
I believe in providing pets with a gentle and compassionate grooming experience. They are part of the family, and should be treated as such! It is my pleasure to help make your and your pet's lives easier, and grooming more enjoyable for them. I am sensitive to your pet's individual needs, and my goal is to provide the best grooming experience possible by using high quality products and creating a low stress, relaxing atmosphere. I want you to have peace of mind about your pet's comfort and safety during the grooming process.
I specialize in dogs with medical conditions. I have experience with autoimmune illnesses (IMPA, IMHA, ITP, Cushings, IBD, KCS, allergies), immunosuppressed pets and their needs, and those that are mobility challenged.
I am presently owned by three cats who keep me busy in my spare time!
